Product Information and Care

The wool used for our yarns has not been treated with chemicals or heat to make it machine washable, as doing so robs wool of its elastic, insulating, felting and fire-retardant qualites.

As such, all projects knit using our yarns should be washed by hand using gentle soap and cool water.

We recommend using a gentle no rinse delicate wash product. Begin by filling a basin with enough lukewarm water to cover your project, then add the delicate wash liquid per the manufacturer's instructions. Allow to soak for at least 15 minutes, then pull article out of the water and squeeze out the excess water without twisting. Lay your project out to the correct measurements and let it dry naturally. If you want to speed up drying, aim a fan at the drying surface.

If you'd like to try machine washing, use cool water and the rinse and spin cycle. After spinning, lay your garment flat to dry. Above all, never put your knitted wool garment in the dryer.
